The Alaska State Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Association Management Training Workshop at the Carlson Center in the Prow Room on September 16, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
This workshop is being sponsored by the Fairbanks Convention and Visitors Bureau. This year we have special guest speaker, Professor Susan Herman who will present “Hire Right” and “Performance Appraisals that Work.”

State Chamber provides new planning tool for Alaska organizations

Too frequently, organizations across Alaska set a date for an event and later find out that the dates they selected are in competition with another organizations event. In an effort to provide a tool for all Alaska organizations to use in planning and selecting dates for their events, the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce is providing a web based calendar tool for all Alaska organizations to use. The list of events is below on our front page. The main Calendar is displayed here.
Organizations will be able to enter their own data about their events to insure accuracy in the posting. Once the data is posted, a message will be automatically sent to the Calendar Administrator. The Calendar Administrator will review to posting to insure its appropriateness for posting on the Alaska State Chamber website. All organizations are encouraged to utilize this statewide calendar tool for their planning purposes.
